How to treat dandruff naturally with Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

In this post I will talk about a potent natural remedy to treat dandruff naturally: apple cider vinegar, commonly abbreviated as ACV.

If you have tried everything and nothing seems to work, well ACV can help manage your dandruff symptoms and problems in a natural way, without putting expensive and often ineffective chemicals on your scalp.

ACV is in fact a great anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial help, it’s a perfect tool for not only treating the distress associated with dandruff, but in treating the excess bacteria and yeast-like fungus that make dandruff reoccur as well.

How to prepare your home made dandruff solution with apple cider vinegar

Take an empty spray bottle, and fill it with one part of with lukewarm water and one part of apple cider vinegar, better if undiluted and organic.

The ratio should be 50:50.

Shake the bottle really well and then begin spraying the solution directly on the skin of your scalp, all over the head, particularly in the areas affected by excessive dandruff.

Part your hair, while spraying and make sure that the solution comes in contact with the skin.

Do this treatment half an hour before going to bed, and sleep with the mixture on your head.

Next morning wash your hair with a good organic shampoo, and use a conditioner, possibly free of harsh chemicals, to treat your hair, if it has become dry with the vinegar.

For mild dandruff, a weekly rinse should be enough, while for more severe dandruff, do the treatment 4-5 days in a row, or until the dandruff disappears.

Then you can do a maintenance rinse, once a week to keep dandruff away.

You should pay attention to some possible side effects of this cure, which include dry hair and burning of the scalp if have open sores.

This is nothing, however, compared to the benefits you can have from this treatment.

It may burn a bit, according to the conditions of your scalp, but it will also kill the bacteria in the wounds, if you have any, so you won’t get an infection.

After a few days of treatment, you will see that ACV works as well or better than the chemical methods.
